Our Story
Jeff’s journey began in Cape Breton, but it was here in Ottawa where he built his career in property management, overseeing more than 200 rental units. That experience made one thing clear: bathrooms needed to be renovated simply, cost-effectively, and built to last.
After trying different acrylic wall manufacturers, Jeff saw first-hand that many looked cheap or offered little design choice.
When he married Melissa — the two shared a vision of building a family business that did things differently. Together, they partnered with Bath Planet, whose quality products, lifetime warranties, and constantly updated patterns stood out from the rest. Unlike quick-fix suppliers, Bath Planet products looked modern and high end.
Over the years, Jeff and Melissa also saw a growing need for accessible renovations. Seniors and families wanted bathrooms that were safe and stylish — but not at the $25,000 price tag of a fully custom tile shower. Inspired by Jeff’s own mother — who said she’d only want grab bars, teak seats, and hand showers if they looked beautiful, not clinical — they began specializing in mobility-friendly renovations that blended safety with style.
